There’s a little place I know, down in Mexico,
Just the other side of Belize.

Where you can hear the monkeys holler, all the way to Guatemala,
When it’s carried along by the breeze.

Where the natives spend their days, planting coffee in the shade.
And everybody’s paid by the pound.

From the friendly Zapatista, to the local barista,
Java makes the world go round.

Chorus
I said it is all right, I said its ok. We’ll worry about tomorrow, when we’ve finished with today.
Café con leche, coming down the line. Down in Chiapas we’re living on monkey time.

I know friendly mama seta, she makes the cappuccino,
Down at the local café.

After a siesta, go down to the fiesta,
And dance away the rest of the day.
Chorus

If we can find you a companion, we’ll go down the canyon,
Let the river carry us along.

If your vision gets to narrow, we can see the curandero,
Who’ll teach us a brand new song.
Chorus

(Bridge)
Open your eyes, let go your mind, when you see the blues skies
You know that everything is going to … be … just …. fine.

There’s a little place I know, down in Mexico,
Just the other side of Belize.

Where the natives spend their days, picking coffee in the shade.
And everybody do just what they please
(Chorus)
